News & Updates
Stay up to date with new game launches, feature updates, roadmaps, and behind-the-scenes stories from the HKQS Games team.
Welcome to the HKQS Games newsroom — the single place to follow what our team is building, shipping and thinking about. We publish updates here whenever we launch a new title, ship a meaningful feature, or publish a post-mortem on how a game came together. If you want to understand the direction of our platform, this is the page to bookmark.
2026 has been a defining year for us. We expanded the library with new puzzle titles, shipped major quality-of-life updates to our older games, and rolled out cross-device cloud save so your progress now follows you from phone to desktop. We also grew the team, invested in better tooling for our designers, and published the first version of our public engineering blog so that you can see how instant-play games actually ship under the hood.
This page is updated regularly. New releases usually drop on the first Monday of each month, feature updates ship mid-month, and longer-form posts — like our roadmap updates or behind-the-scenes write-ups — go out whenever they are ready. If a game you love has not been updated in a while, scroll down and check the release history; the chances are good that something is already in the pipeline. Thanks for playing, and thanks for reading.
Beyond product updates, this is also where we talk about the business side of browser gaming: market shifts, platform decisions, and the occasional candid post-mortem on features that worked — and did not work. We believe players deserve transparency, so if something changes in how we operate, you will read about it here first. Bookmark this page, subscribe to your favorite feed reader, or check back in a week — there is always something new on the way.
Finally, a quick note on how we publish: every update on this page is fact-checked by at least two members of the team before it goes live, and we do not run sponsored posts or take editorial direction from partners. What you read here is the unfiltered view of the HKQS Games team — the good, the bad, and the occasionally awkward. We hope you enjoy the ride as much as we enjoy building it.

New Releases
This month we are adding three brand-new puzzle titles to the HKQS Games library: Puzzle Hex, Puzzle: Water Sort, and a refreshed version of Block Puzzle: Save Girl. Each title has been rebuilt from the ground up for instant-play performance, with average load times under 2.5 seconds on mobile and redesigned progression systems to keep sessions fresh for both new and returning players. Read on for a closer look at each game, the design decisions behind them, and what you can expect in the coming weeks.

Milestone
We are thrilled to announce that Smash Blocks, our flagship action title, has officially crossed one million lifetime plays across the HKQS Games platform. To celebrate the milestone, the team has released a small update that adds two new power-ups, a rebalanced difficulty curve in the early levels, and a new end-of-run recap screen showing your personal bests across sessions. Thank you to every player who has stuck with the game since day one — here is to the next million.

Behind the Scenes
Have you ever wondered how a game loads in under three seconds and still feels polished? In this behind-the-scenes post, we lift the curtain on our internal pipeline — from concept pitch, to prototype, to the day a game goes live. We walk through the performance budget we enforce on every project, the engine choices we made in 2026, and the QA checklist that must pass before a single player sees a build. If you are curious about game development or thinking about shipping your own instant title, this post is written for you.

Feature Update
Starting this week, every game in the HKQS Games library supports cross-device cloud save. Your progress, unlocked levels, and in-game currency now follow you between phone, tablet, and desktop automatically — no sign-up required. The feature is built on anonymous device identifiers and respects our privacy-first promise: we do not ask for an email, and we do not sell your data. To celebrate the launch, any player who links two devices before the end of July receives a small in-game bonus on their next session.

Industry Analysis
Browser gaming has quietly undergone a generational shift in 2026. Faster networks, more powerful JavaScript engines, and better WebGL support mean that the browser is now a genuinely competitive gaming platform — not a compromise. In this long-form analysis, we look at the data behind the shift, compare the performance gap between native apps and instant-play titles, and argue that the next wave of AAA studios will have a browser-first strategy. If you follow gaming news, this is a trend you do not want to miss.

Roadmap
Summer 2026 is going to be our busiest season yet. Today we are sharing the public roadmap for the coming three months: two new game launches, a major content expansion for Hunter: Evolve Uprising, a complete rebalancing of Puzzle: Water Sort, and a new creator partnership program that will bring guest-built levels to our most popular titles. We are also investing heavily in performance, with a platform-wide initiative to keep every game loading in under three seconds on a mid-range mobile connection.
